Cookies and similar technologies use unique sequences of numbers that act as an identifier and are considered to be "personal data" under European data protection law. This is because they can enable the user of a device to be uniquely recognized as the same user with this device, even if their 'real world' identity is unknown. Cookies are also typically used in combination with other identifiers such as the IP address for your device which is automatically assigned to that device by your internet service provider and shared by your device when online content is requested and displayed. IP addresses can be saved automatically in our server log files whenever our website, applications or online content are accessed and -depending on the application- may be linked to the Cookies unless it is not legally permitted or separate IP anonymization features are enabled (see 'Google Analytics' below).

Further details on the actual storage period (duration) can be taken from the information in the Cookie settings.

• Cookies that are served by our Website are called 'First party cookies' (indicated as “GWM” below) whereas cookies that are served from a separate website or service to the one you are visiting, are called 'Third party cookies'.

Furthermore, there are different categories of Cookies (e.g. Marketing Cookies).
